Hi lovies!

Wooow it’s been a minute since I posted. Life has been hectic – in a good way. HAPPY AUGUST! we’re in a new month finally. July was kinda challenging for me, mainly because I felt very swamped by everything that was happening in my life. It’s important to take breaks once in a while to pull yourself towards yourself. These moments are necessary, take some time out to reflect here and to track your progress. I literally haven’t taken any break this year, so I can feel the effects of that.

One of my favorite verses in the Bible lets us know that there is a time for everything (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8). I’m currently in a good ‘growth’ season in my life, it’s very challenging but the good thing with doing life with God, is the guarantee that when trials come, you’ll get out of them AND will get more from of them. God blesses you so much if you press on during your trials and trust Him completely. I won’t lie, it’s not easy, but you come out stronger and wiser.

I managed to tick off all the goals I set for the first half of the year and I’m looking forward to doing the same in this season. Can you believe that December is in 4 months?? I’m shook. I’m a little overwhelmed, because I feel like things are about to get crazy and I don’t know if I’m ready enough. Especially academically.

What’s my theme for August? Patience. I’ve been working on my impatience lately. I’m a very impatient person. God has been telling me to WAIT, especially when it comes to my career and future goals. I tend to want things to happen now (even though I’m not even ready to receive them yet). I’m sure someone can relate. We’re an impatient generation!

God has been telling me “Wait on Me” frequently this year and teaching me to trust Him and to be patient. How are you waiting [ the action of staying where one is or delaying action until a particular time or event]? All of us will wait passively, or we’ll wait expectantly. Pastor Micheal Todd once shared a sermon and he said you should ask yourself “how am I waiting?” Are you busy complaining and saying “That’s it! I’ve waited and waited and nothing’s happened.”

Or are you waiting [ the action or occupation of working as a waiter or waitress] on the Lord? and saying “at your service, Lord.” or “What do you need from me, Lord?”

“At your service, Lord.” – Ps. Mike Todd

There’s a danger in rushing processes. God’s timing is not like yours and when you rush processes, you’re not allowing God to do things at the perfect time. This is how we end up hurt and unfulfilled – we want to do things our own way, which is not always the best decision. We all want an instantaneous breakthrough, but you need to know that it’s going to take time. And you may go through long periods, even years, feeling like you haven’t made any progress at all, but you have.

The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance, but everyone who is hasty [quick, hurried, fast, swift, rapid, speedy, brisk] comes only to poverty.

– Proverbs 21:5

This month, take time to trust God with your goals and vision. Do well, work hard, be patient and stay prayed up!!
