Tests.

Good Morning my loves. I hope everyone is well. It’s almost the end of May and I’m so happy because this month has shown me flames. Especially academically and financially. God is faithful though because we’re still outchea, breathing.

The past week I’ve thinking a lot about the trials and tests we go through in life. I was actually thinking about how university is very difficult while you’re still studying, doing assignments and writing tests and exams. However, all of that hardship is almost erased by that graduation gown. It all feels worth it.

Just like how we have seasons on earth, your life also has seasons. The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 3:1-8  “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.”

Life wouldn’t be life, it was always happy and peaceful. That’s just impossible. We all go through tests or “bad seasons” and they differ for all of us. As a child of God, the tests are even harder because you’re constantly fighting the ways of the world vs. the ways of the WORD. God will challenge you to see where your loyalties lie. It sounds harsh, but it’s to groom you keep the faith and to remain steadfast in your journey. This is life in the world. It requires a continuous and active choice to choose God. To keep faith. To say, “I’m sorry.” To move ahead in hope, rather than despair.

I once saw a quote that said “life will keep throwing you the same test in different scenarios, until you pass it.” If you avoid going through challenges hoping that they’ll just go away, you’re sadly mistaken. They will just come back as different scenarios. You need to face your challenges and remain strong, future-focused and hopeful that one day, the sun will come out and you’ll start the new season of joy and peace.

You’re going to be hit by challenges, but never cower or stop fighting. Trust God and trust yourself. Believe that you’re capable to conquer anything that life throws your way. Think about the times when you thought you wouldn’t survive something, but you did. Use that as your motivation to keep fighting. Understand that before God even formed you, you were already part of His plan. You were put on this life for a purpose. YOU MATTER.

“Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.”

– James 1: 2
Like a see saw, understand that you may be down today, but you’ll be back up tomorrow.
